BLACK CHINOOK

Black Chinook is an adventure filled view
of my career as a US Army Ranger in the
75th Ranger Regiment.  It provides an
in-depth view of the Spartan lifestyle of
Army Rangers and the Joint Special
Operations Community.
Black Chinook
is a candid and compelling read.

Black Chinook details all phases of
training to earn the opportunity to serve
in the 75th Ranger Regiment and
subsequent training required to become a
truly professional Ranger.

Black Chinook is a must read for anyone
considering military service or before
taking the challenge to become an Army
Ranger in the Joint Special Operations
community.

DEFINITION
Black Chinook: a term used to reference the black painted CH-47 helicopters used by the elite U.S. Army Ranger Regiment to
transport  wounded and dead Rangers from the battlefield; a Ranger based metaphor for the grim Specter of Death; an ominous
image of a dark, shadowy beast whose arrival signified that a comrade had fallen.
